Of multiple reasons, the main cause of traffic jams is that the increasing number of private cars. Facts show that With the fast development of social economy, more citizens are able to afford private cars, which bring them great convenience. However, you will be packed in like sardines on a subway, train, or bus in rush hour if you do not own your cars, especially in China. So in this way, this kind of behavior inevitably give rise to the traffic jam.

In conclusion, we can come to grips with this problem from various perspectives. For the first cause, the government can encourage the citizens to frequently use public service like bus and metro instead of private cars. Also,the government can levy heavy tax on car or petrol so that increases costs of driving cars. As for the second reason, our government can inject more funds into the construction of infrastructure. To individuals, we should obeying the traffic regulations and increase the awareness for traffic situation。
