Nowadays people have different opinions about robots. The opponents argue that those hazardous monsters are detrimental to our society. However, I tend to agree with the advocates who hold the view that robots have significant impacts on our future lives, despite of their drawbacks.
Initially, it is true that the robots have been considered as mankinds' substitutions which make our lives more convenient and efficient. Robots are able to handle many high-risk jobs, ranging from the rescue after the earthquake, mineral mining to space exploration. In addition, The monotonous works especially those labour-intensive industries in factories can also be finished efficiently and flawlessly by robots which not only boost the productivities but also reduce the possibilities of work-injuried.
Furthermore, the families can also get benefits from the domestic robots. The lattest technology has made it possible for intelligent robots to replace people to do quite a number of household chores as well as some physical works. With the help of those intelligent machines, people are more likely to concentrate on their major works, thereby achieving better performances and making more profits.
On the other hand, There are also some negative views among the opponents. The fact that more and more job opportunities have been occupied by robots rather than mankinds poses a threat to the soaring unemployment rate which may endanger the social stability. Another imaginative speculation about this issue is that robots probably would be used in wars and crime offenses in the near future. They believe that the robots would be much more aggressive and even out of control as it performed in a hollywood movie, although there is little evidence can support this kind of view.
