Advancing crediting talks about a psychological phenomenon about different responses of children when praised. When the children are praised before they finish the task, they are less likely to follow the instructions. But when they are praised after the task, they tend to behave well. The professor described an experiment. Children were given candies and the experiment was to observe whether the children dropped the candy wrap on the ground. At first, the teacher told students to keep the room neat and comfortable, and praised all the students. But as a result, most students dropped the wrap. Later, the teacher only praised those students who dropped the wrap into the rubbish can, and this time, most students dropped the wrap into the rubbish can after finishing the candies. (128 words)
