The speakers discuss two possible solutions to the man’s problem. Briefly summarize the problem, then state which solution you recommend and explain why.

In the conversation, the student/tutor is facing a problem that __❶__.

There are two solutions. She could choose either __❷__ or __❸__.

As for me, I prefer the former/ latter because of two reasons.

The first reason is __❹__.

In conclusion, based on these two reasons I think the first/ second solution is better.

答题模板解释：

听力对话一开始，男生或者女生会交代自己遇到的问题，一般场景叙述在15-30s之间不等，在这过程中考生需要掌握提炼核心信息的能力，尽量用1-2句话去概括❶中男生或女生遇到的问题。

❷和❸代表解决问题的两个建议方案，考生必须明确说明怎么“做”才能解决问题。因此，建议在此处用动词不定式to do或者he/she can do的形式复述具体方案。

听力对话中，通常每个方案之后都会出现各自的优点或缺点。但由于答题时间有限，考生应对优缺点进行关键词概括或省略不说，把时间留给personal opinion部分，千万不可把大部分的时间放在复述听力中问题和解决方案的优缺点上。

❹和❺处考生可根据个人的经历指出支持方案一或二的理由。通常，如果支持方案一，可以说说方案二的缺点，反之亦然。另外，比较常见的理由有，告诉对方实情，对方会理解的等。

M: Hey Sally, I just got the first draft of my research paper back from professor Stone.

F: ❶ Just now? I got mine back a few days ago.

M: ❷ Yeah, everyone else in the class that I know of got theirs back a few days ago too.

F: But, the deadline…you’re running out of time.

M: Yeah, I am worried. ❸ I only have one day to review all his comments and write my final draft. He made a lot of suggestions.

F: ❹ You should definitely ask Professor Stone for a deadline extension. He should take some responsibility for the situation; it is sort of his fault you won’t have much time to work on it before the due date.

M: ❺ I thought about that, but would he think I was being pushy, or…criticizing him for not getting the paper back to me right away? I don’t want to offend him.

F: True, but it’s your grade we’re talking about. You’ve got a legitimate concern, but it’s understandable if you’re uncomfortable asking.

M: Yeah…I’m in a tough spot.

But there is only one day left. ❷ The woman offers him two possible suggestions. The first suggestion is to ask the professor for a deadline extension. ❸ Because all the other students got their paper a few days ago and only the man got his paper just now, so the professor should take some responsibility for this situation. ❹ Nonetheless, the man does not want to seem pushy and offensive. The second possible solution is to do his best with the time left. He can finish the paper quickly and work hard. Since he is a pretty good student, he can get a pretty good grade. But there are too many comments to deal with. If I were the man, I would choose the first solution. ❺ Owing to professor’s fault, even if it‘ll be a little uncomfortable asking the extension, it is still reasonable to do so. ❻ In addition, there is no need to worry about being offensive. The man just need to tell the problem to the professor in the first place.

Language Use (语言运用): ❶中此处用but既交代了背景，也很好地引出学生的问题。❷用The woman offers …，The first suggestion is …, The second possible solution is…有条理地进行了两个方面的阐述。❸用because引导原因更能起到强调作用，因为某事所以教师必须承担责任，更具有说服力. ❹转折常用词but在上下文避免重复使用可以用此处的nonetheless进行替换，但需注意分清转折程度。❺owing to一方面可以替换表原因的用词，在口语中灵活运用，另一方面也是再次强调说明教授的失误造成了不理想的情况。❻在给出理由的表述中使用in addition或furthermore来展开补充说明，使上下文表述更加充分.
