问题：

The students discuss two possible solutions to the man’s problem. Briefly summarize the problem, then state which of the two solutions you prefer and explain why.

Preparation Time: 20 seconds

Recording Time: 60 seconds

答题模板：

In the conversation, the student/tutor is facing a problem that __❶__.

There are two solutions. She could choose either __❷__ or __❸__.

As for me, I prefer the former/ latter because of two reasons.

The first reason is __❹__.

The second reason is __❺__.

In conclusion, based on these two reasons I think the first/ second solution is better.

答题模板解释：

听力对话一开始，男生或者女生会交代自己遇到的问题，一般场景叙述在15-30s之间不等，在这过程中考生需要掌握提炼核心信息的能力，尽量用1-2句话去概括❶中男生或女生遇到的问题。

❷和❸代表解决问题的两个建议方案，考生必须明确说明怎么“做”才能解决问题。因此，建议在此处用动词不定式to do或者he/she can do的形式复述具体方案。

听力对话中，通常每个方案之后都会出现各自的优点或缺点。但由于答题时间有限，考生应对优缺点进行关键词概括或省略不说，把时间留给personal opinion部分，千万不可把大部分的时间放在复述听力中问题和解决方案的优缺点上。

❹和❺处考生可根据个人的经历指出支持方案一或二的理由。通常，如果支持方案一，可以说说方案二的缺点，反之亦然。另外，比较常见的理由有，告诉对方实情，对方会理解的等。

听力文本：

W: Hey Steve, did you get that book on the Russian Revolution that Professor Harper wants us to read?

M: No, ❶ none of the bookstores in the campus area had itin stock. ❷ They’ll get it in about two weeks.

W: Hm…so what are you going to do in the meantime?Remember, ❸ that we’re going to be discussing the book starting next Tuesday.

M: ❹ I was thinking of placing a rush order with a bookseller on the internet, so I’d have the book in about a day or two.

W: Yeah, ❺ but rush order delivery is expensive. You could easily spend twice as much money for the book that way.

M: I know, but what choice do I have?

W: Well, since we only have to read a couple of chapters at a time, you’re welcome to ❻ share my copy for a few

weeks. You know, until you can get yours at the bookstore.

M: You mean…you would read the chapters assigned, give the book to me, I’d read those chapters, then give the book back to you to read the next set of chapters, and so on.

W: Exactly

M: Thanks! ❼ But, what if I don’t get the book back to you in time. Wouldn’t you get behind in your reading?

W: Yeah maybe. But it should work if we’re careful.

None of the bookstores in the campus area has the book the man wants and it’ll take about two weeks to have the book in stock. But the problem is the class will be discussing the book next Tuesday. There are two possible solutions to this problem. The first solution is to buy the book on the Internet and use rush order delivery. But it’ll cost twice as much money as it takes to buy one in a bookstore. The second solution is to share the woman’s copy until he can get a book from a bookstore. He can read part of the book one day and then the woman can read part of the book another day. But the man worries that he won’t get the book back to her in time. I prefer the second solution. Just like the woman says, as long as the two students keep careful, they won’t delay each other. Furthermore, they only have to share the book for two weeks, since bookstores will have the book in two weeks.
