答案

Many high school students have big study pressure today. They are already doing a lot of work at school. Recently some people propose that students should help their parents with household chores, as it is the best way to give them a sense of responsibility. I am definitely agree with this idea. First and foremost, study cannot become an excuse of laziness. When a mom asks a kid to do cleaning for her, the most common answer is ‘I do not have time and I am busy with my homework’. After saying this, the child just go on playing the game. Actually the child is just passing the buck. So this is an example of escaping responsibility. Asking the students to help parents do household chores is not just for doing something. In fact, its meaning is to help students cultivate a sense of responsibility. Secondly, Asking the students to do household chores is a way to cultivate discipline. Discipline is the rule that the public has to obey for the common benefit. No matter is the school or in the future work, discipline is an integrated part of the success. If the parents ask the kids to do housework every weekends. This is a family rule for the whole family. In this regular habitation, the students can form an efficient way of doing things. Last but not least, it can builds a system of rewards and punishments. Rewards and penalties are also a significant part of responsibility. Rewards could foster the development and penalties could promote self-thinking. They both help students to be responsible for doing one thing. For example, the parents set a rule that washing the dishes per time gets 10 RMB and if not clean, 5 RMB only. In order to get the reward, the students have to pay concentration on doing one thing. Also if the students want to earn the money in the long-term, he/she has to keep on doing this. It is one way to cultivate the sense of responsibility. In conclusion, asking the students to help do household chores is a discipline and can help build a system of rewards and penalties, these are all essential part of a sense of responsibility.
