There are two behavioural features of migratory animals. Firstly, as the migratory animals have to travel long distances before they reach the destination, they are less likely to be distracted by the surroundings and will focus on the location of their destination. In contract, the local animals, such as birds will get excited in the sight of food. Secondly, migratory animals tend to move in straight lines. Take migratory shark for example. In the process of migration, its specific organs make it possible for the shark to travel in straight line with the help of geomagnetism, while on the contrary, local fishes are inclined to move directionless for food.
