Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The more money people have the more they should give away to charity.

答案

Market economy has contributed to wealth accumulation, which makes the rich richer. Although the government has levied heavy taxes on the rich, the gap between the rich and the poor is enlarging every minute. Although the mainstream speech has claimed the rich contribute more to the charity, the decision shall be open the rich. To begin with, giving money to the poor is never considered as an effective way to help them out of poverty. Most of the charity is conducted in the form of giving money to the poor directly. However, the poor cannot live on the donations for long, and helping the poor make a living is thus considered a better way. Therefore, instead of donating money to charity groups, the rich should set up more branches and hire more employees, particularly those in a financial problem. Following this method, the poor can find a way out while the rich can make more money. Everyone is happy with the result. Moreover, The rich have the priority to effectively allocate their resources. Regardless of what the mainstream speech says, the rich have the final say of their property. For instance, if we have two televisions at home, what will you do? Do you think it is offensive if someone asks you to donate one of them? It is the same case with the rich. It is unfair to ask them to make donations or contribution to the others only because they have got extra to spare. For the social responsibility part, they have be charged more taxes and their responsibilities as a citizen have been fulfilled. Furthermore, charity shall be conducted spontaneously and if not it may lose the most valuable part of the doing. It is indeed that the fragrance always stays the hand that gives roses. But if the rich are forced to make donations, there will be little happiness in their donation. And for the poor who receive the donation, they may probably sense the disgust of the donor, and feel ashamed and insulted. Therefore, the fragrance fades away. To end up, although the rich have the capability to make the society better, considering the essence of charity as well as the free will of the rich, charity shall be left as an open decision to the rich.
