Which of the following library volunteer would you want to choose to do? Helping people find the right material, reading to kids or keeping bookshelf organized.
Making decision among the three given choices, I prefer the one to read to kids. There are some reasons for my choice. First of all, it helps develop children’s interest in reading. When the modern society has almost been occupied by the most advanced technology, so it is with children’s life. As no one would ever deny the importance of reading, there should be a way to help children form the habit of reading. Therefore, I would like to volunteer in the library, reading to the kids and helping them with the good habit. Moreover, it pushes me to understand stories I have never read before. Although I have been aware of merits of reading, I don’t read frequently, and there are a large number of books I have never read in my life. And thus, when reading to the kids, I may come upon some stories I have not read before and it’s an opportunity for me to learn something new also.
