Your city is planning to spend more budget on one of the following three projects. Which do you think is the most important, expending tourism, building city parks, or improving the public transportation system?
I think the government should spend money on the improvement of the public transportation system. There are some reasons. Firstly, it’s a solution benefiting the widest variety of citizens, most urgent and necessary. Expenditure on tourism and city parks indeed will make contributions to people’s life, either materially or psychologically, but in the long run, while spending on public transport will bring instance convenience to our daily life. Moreover, it will benefit the environment as a whole. Public transport is acknowledged as a main solution to environment protection and its improvement will thus benefit the living surroundings.
