Regardless of the advancement in social development, gap between the villages and the cities has remained a social problem to solve. Before there are any progressive changes being implemented, the public are wondering which area is better for living with family members, the villages where life is simply and easy, or the cities with more uncertainties. As far as I’m concerned, people who live in big cities can take care of their family members better. Firstly, better systems of health and sanitation have been established in big cities. Compared with small villages, cities have more complete medical system due to its developed economy and technology. Advanced medical equipment is limited in the countryside and the prestigious doctors are centered in developed cities. If family members have some serious diseases, they can get effective treatment. Moreover, financial conditions have great influence on our own happiness as well as the happiness of our families. In big cities, people are more likely to earn a well-paid livelihood. Having good-paying jobs means we can provide greater financial support for our families so that they can worry less about daily expenses and buy the things they want. Although I disagree with the assumption that the more money we have, the happier we are, I do think financial conditions play an essential role in shaping a happy life. Besides, there are more places of interest in cities, which provides more ways of entertaining. Cities, with more government budget, tend to construct more public facilities in order to make the living surroundings more pleasant. Therefore, besides those big shopping malls funded by companies, there are parks, city squares, museums and art galleries where family members can have a wonderful time off work. To conclude, in terms of mature health systems, higher salary and various entertaining ways, family members in cities tend to have a more material satisfied life than those stay in the countryside.
