My favorite game in childhood was cricket fighting, a very popular game among Chinese boys twenty years ago. The game begins with the catching of crickets, and we should choose those strong male ones, which were usually found among deep grass, near small ponds and under big trees. Then we picked our favorite fighter crickets and put them into a small flat pot, encouraging them to engage in a combat. In retrospect, this is an exciting but cruel game because many crickets got seriously injured and be thrown out of the pot. I like this game because the whole game is full of self-involvement, and catching crickets itself gives us lots of fun.
